There were five nominations for the four vacancies and a ballot was held.  The following were declared elected at the AGM:

• Helen Fielding MA DPhil CChem MRSC, Professor of Chemical Physics, University College London
• Annie Powell BSc PhD CSci CChem FRSC, Professor of Supramolecular Chemistry, University of Karlsruhe
• Keith Smith BSc MSc PhD CChem FRSC, Professor of Organic Chemistry, Cardiff University
