Dr Richard Pike resigns as Chief Executive of the RSC
The Royal Society of Chemistry regrets to announce the resignation of Dr Richard Pike as Chief Executive of the RSC, effective from 28 February 2011.
Professor David Phillips, president of the RSC, said: "The Royal Society of Chemistry wishes to pay tribute to the tireless effort Richard Pike brought to his role as CEO, to his great success in reforming the management of the Society and for the considerable enhancement of the RSC's international role. We wish him well in his future employment."
Commenting on his resignation, Dr Richard Pike said: "I am extremely proud of the number of achievements we have accomplished as a learned society since I joined in 2006. But, after five years as Chief Executive, I felt it was the right time to move on. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish the RSC the very best in the future and for it to continue to excel in the ongoing, challenging work it is engaged in at many levels."
