Macro2010: 43rd IUPAC World Polymer Congress
28 August 2009

Macro2010 is organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and hosted by the Pure and Applied Macromolecular Chemistry Group (Macro Group UK).
Details of the 28 symposia, conveners, plenary, keynote and invited speakers are now available on the Macro2010 website.
Macro2010 will have an overall focus on 'Polymer Science in the Service of Society'. The congress will span the chemistry, physics, engineering and applications of polymers. It will embrace all disciplines with polymer-related interests and activity. The growing specialisation in use of polymers (e.g. in electronics, optics, personal care, health, diagnostics) is reflected in the programme themes:
- Delivering New Polymers for Service in Society: Advances in Polymer Chemistry
- Molecular to Macroscopic Behaviour of Polymers
- Sustainability: Renewable Resources and Environmentally-Friendly Polymers
- Polymers in Support of Life
- Functional Polymers for Electronics, Energy and Analysis
- Polymer Science in Everyday Life
- Advances in Colloidal and Nanosize Polymer Materials
- Young Polymer Scientists: Contributions, Nurturing and Networking
For further information, please see the 'Scientific Programme' link on this page.
The Macro2010 call for papers opens online in September 2009. For details on how to submit your abstract, please see the 'Submit an Abstract' link.
