Essential Skills Management scheme
Welcome to the RSC's Essential Skills Management scheme. The eleven courses plus online assessments forming the initial basis of this scheme offer an accessible, flexible suite of personal development training courses required by industry, similar to those of large company graduate training programmes.
Who should attend?
- Young industrialists; essentially new recruits in the chemical, pharmaceutical and related industries
- Spin-out, start-up and small company employees, who have limited access to this type of training
- Postdoctoral academic researchers wanting to move into industry
- More experienced people wishing to reinvigorate their Continuing Professional Development programmes
Company based training
All the ESM courses can be offered to companies in-house at very competitive prices. Companies or organisations willing to host or run some of these courses in-house are invited to discuss possibilities with the RSC Training Co-ordinator.
Co-sponsoring organisations
We are grateful to the following organisations for their co-sponsorship support of the ESM scheme:
- Chemical Industries Association (CIA)
- Chemicals Northwest
- Humber Chemical Focus
- Institute of Biology
- Yorkshire Chemical Focus
- Yorkshire Forward
