Historical Chemistry

As one of the foremost chemical societies in the world, the RSC has an extensive archive of historical chemistry information. There are two main areas of historical chemistry at the RSC, the first being the Historical Collection which is composed of items of historical value. The second is the History of Chemistry which is generally composed of modern journals and books dealing with the lives of chemists and their discoveries.

To augment both areas are other resources such as the Image Collection and the Genealogy Enquiries Database.

Available Journals Archive Titles (1841 - 2004)

The RSC Journal Archive provides access to around 195,000 fully searchable articles in 1,200,000 pages. Members pay £5 per article.

Books and Archive Collection
