One of the 4 main priority areas for the ITF in 2008 is supporting the exploitation of new ideas in the chemical sciences.
The ITF rewards and promotes innovation in the chemical sciences through its awards and prizes showcasing entrepreneurship, teamwork and creativity in industry and business. These are awarded annually at out prestigious Innovation Awards with a prize of £4000 each.
The RSC is also closely involved with Chemistry Innovation Knowledge Transfer Network (CIKTN) to drive innovation performance across the UK chemistry-using industries.
