Michael grew up in Hartlepool before studying at the�University of�Leeds. After graduating with a PhD in Biochemistry in 2002, he spent two years working on artificial biomembranes with Stephen Evans. He joined the RSC in 2004 as a Technical Editor and currently works on the journal�Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics. In his spare time, Michael enjoys a variety of activities, such as cricket, skiffle and silent cinema.
