Milk was potentiometrically titrated using different redox mediators such as hexacyanoferrate, hexachloroiridate and iodine in order to uncover its redox capacity. The latter is expected to be an indicator to milk's freshness. Two major electroactive species were found classifying milk as a non-poised system.
