PCCP Prize Awarded at Tulip 2009

As part of our promotional activities to highlight the success of the journal and recognise the latest outstanding new research in the fields of physical chemistry and chemical physics, PCCP is presenting a series of prizes at conferences throughout 2009.

 

The PCCP Tulip Poster Prize was awarded at the recent Tulip 2009 Summer School on Modern Developments in Spectroscopy, which took place in Noordwijk, Netherlands, from 15-18 April 2009. 

 

The winner of this PCCP Poster Prize was Bryan van der Ende from the Debye Institute for NanoMaterials Science in Utrecht, Netherlands, for his poster on 'Near-Infrared Quantum Cutting for Photovoltaics'.

 

The winner was selected by all 6 invited lecturers of the Tulip School; Prof. Martin Gruebele (University of Illinois, USA), Prof. Dwayne Miller (University of Toronto, Canada), Prof. Thomas Rizzo (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland), Prof. Vahid Sandoghdar, (ETH Zürich, Switzerland), Prof. Wim Ubachs (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Prof. Alec Wodtke (UCSB, USA).

The prize-winner received a PCCP Prize Certificate and a financial reward. Further PCCP Prizes are scheduled to be awarded later on this year.
