JAAS

Innovative research on the fundamental theory and application of spectrometric techniques.

Sector Field Instrumentation themed issue

15 September 2009

Submit your article to JAAS!  You are invited to submit work relating to the field of sector field ICP-MS for publication in an upcoming themed issue of JAAS on Sector Field Instrumentation. In particular, we would be happy to receive articles in the area of single-collector ICP-MS, multi-collector ICP-MS, GD-MS and stable isotopes.

With an impact factor of 4.03, JAAS is the clear choice for topical fundamental atomic spectrometry research in all fields of application.

The submission deadline is 14th December 2009. All accepted papers will have a footnote added and the corresponding author will receive a copy of the printed issue.

Articles will follow the usual peer review process and the themed issue will be published in spring/summer 2010. All articles will be published on the JAAS website as Advance Articles prior to print publication.

Guidelines for submissions

Submissions may be full papers, rapid communications, or technical notes:

a)   If you consider that your work is in its initial stage and that the early results merit urgent publication, then consideration should be given to submitting a communication. This does not prohibit the later publication of a full paper.
b)   If your article offers a short description of instrumental developments, techniques or an application that offers definite advantages over those already available, but neither a full paper nor an urgent communication is justified, then consideration should be given to submitting a technical note. Authors should be aware that a recommendation to publish as a technical note does not diminish the importance of the paper, instead it allows a focus on the improvements in the method and the results obtained. The length of all articles submitted to JAAS should be commensurate with the scientific content.

Authors are encouraged to use the template to prepare their manuscripts, available on the website. For further information, please see the author guidelines.

All papers should be submitted via ReSourCe. When submitting your paper please indicate clearly that the work is intended for the themed issue on Sector Field Instrumentation. Please contact the Editor, Niamh O'Connor if you have any further questions about submitting papers to JAAS.

We look forward to receiving your contribution.
