Heme themed issue

30 May 2007

The study of heme-containing proteins, with their varied oxidation states and diverse biological functions, is of great interest to chemists, biophysicists and biologists. Modern structural and molecular biology techniques now make it possible to study the mechanism of heme proteins in a level of detail which would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.

Issue 3 2007 of NPR is a themed issue, guest edited by Emma Raven (University of Leicester, UK) and Paul Ortiz de Montellano (University of California San Francisco, US), which brings together ten articles by leaders in the field covering the breadth of this exciting area.
