New journal news!

30 January 2009

RSC Publishing further increases its journal portfolio with the publication of two new interdisciplinary journals.

Integrative Biology cover
Integrative Biology: Quantitative biosciences from nano to macro provides a unique venue for research that leads to a greater understanding of biological processes and mechanisms. Highly interdisciplinary, it focuses on quantitative multi-scale biology using enabling technologies and tools to exploit the convergence of biology with physics, chemistry, engineering, imaging and

informatics. The Editorial Board Chair is Mina J. Bissell from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, US. 'Integrative Biology is looking great - it just hits the mark and all the articles are innovative, highly of interest  and thought provoking' comments Philip Day, University of Manchester, UK.

Metallomics cover
Metallomics: Integrated biometal science covers the research fields related to metals in biological systems and is expected to be the core publication for the emerging metallomics community. Metallomics is receiving great attention as a new frontier in the investigation of trace elements in biology and is expected to develop as an interdisciplinary science complementary to genomics and proteomics.
"Good papers and a nice RSC-high-standard presentation"
- Chris Orvig
Joseph A. Caruso of University of Cincinnati/Agilent Technologies Metallomics Center of the Americas, and a leading player in this emerging field, is Chair of the Editorial Board. 'The first issue of Metallomics looks good - congratulations! Good papers and a nice RSC-high-standard presentation.' stated Chris Orvig, University of Bristish Columbia, Canada.

The latest issue of both Integrative Biology and Metallomics is freely available online to all readers. Free institutional access to previous issues throughout 2009 and 2010 will be available following a simple registration process, using a model that has proved extremely popular for the latest RSC title to launch: Energy & Environmental Science

Energy & Environmental Science cover

RSC Publishing boasts an accomplished record in successfully launching new products. Ground-breaking interdisciplinary journals Soft Matter and Molecular BioSystems, both launched in 2005, continue to go from strength to strength as solo publications. With Integrative BiologyMetallomics and Energy & Environmental Science set to follow in their footsteps, RSC Publishing again reinforces its position as a world-class scientific publisher.
