Polymer Chemistry

Encompassing all aspects of synthetic and biological macromolecules, and related emerging areas

Free online access to Polymer Chemistry

02 June 2009

New journal Polymer Chemistry will launch early in 2010. And - mirroring the publishing model adopted successfully for all new RSC journals launched since 2008 - all online content of the new journal will be available for free in 2010 and 2011.

The current issue of Polymer Chemistry will be freely available to everyone on the website from launch until the end of 2011.

Free online institutional access to previous issue content during 2010 and 2011 is also available following a simple registration process.

To make the process as easy as possible, we've combined registration for all new RSC journals currently offering free access into a single, straightforward online form. Simply fill in your details, provide contact details for your institute's librarian or information specialist, and select the journals you wish to have free access to. Submit the form, and we'll do the rest.

Access is managed by institution and IP address. Those institutions currently subscribing to journal packages A and A+ will automatically receive access to new journals and do not need to register.

"I greatly appreciate RSC choosing this method to present a new journal"
- Cory Craig, Librarian, UC Davis
This model, which was adopted in response to feedback from scientists, librarians and other information specialists, allows scientists and librarians/information specialists to fully evaluate the new journal, before they consider taking out a license or a subscription in 2012.
