4.23 is new Impact Factor for Molecular BioSystems
24 June 2008
Very good news this week has come from the latest ISI citation data which shows another increase in impact factor for Molecular BioSystems to 4.236 *
The impact factor is a measure of the number of times an "average article" in a journal has been cited in a particular year. The impact factor for 2008 is calculated from the total number of citations given in 2008 to articles published in 2006 and 2007, divided by the number of articles published in 2006 and 2007.
As well as the growth in Impact Factor Molecular BioSystems continues to grow in the numbers of primary research articles and reviews that are being published in the journal. In addition Molecular BioSystems publishes three issues per year dedicated to particular themes. Synthetic Biology is the theme of issue 7 (access the link below to the online issue) containing 11 articles on this exciting area of research. Don't miss the 2009 Emerging Investigators issue which will be published in issue 9 highlighting the work of outstanding young scientists at the Chemical- and Systems-Biology interfaces. Finally, our Computational and Systems Biology issue will be published in the autumn as issue 11.
A big thank-you to all our authors, referees and readers for their continued support from Molecular BioSystems!
