RSC Policy Bulletin 9

June 2008

Nick Dusic, Director of Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE) introduces the latest issue of the Policy Bulletin highlighting the role of science and engineering in wealth creation and innovation. Supporting science and engineering is the only way the UK can compete with other countries in terms of attracting the skilled individuals and companies needed for high-tech innovation.

This issue also includes a discussion on best practise to facilitate interdisciplinary research; how atmospheric carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels could be managed; adapting to climate change; and further debate on Research Assessment.

Hard copies of the Policy Bulletin can be provided upon request by contacting Sarah Dickinson.
