Intellectual Property Case Law Seminar

Introduction
The RSC Law Group will be holding its eleventh annual and highly popular IP case law seminar on Monday, 25 November 2019 from 1pm at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BA. Our excellent speakers will be discussing on recent high profile developments in the world of intellectual property law, with a chemical flavour. 

Our speakers this year will touch on a variety of developments in the UK and across Europe, including the doctrine of equivalents following Actavis v Lilly, plausibility and requirements for data in patent applications and recent developments in relation to injunctions, as well as providing an update on case law from the EPO.  Provisional programme details are:

1.00-1.30pm      Registration
 
1.30-2.00pm      Plausibility in UK and EPO law: do I need data in my patent application? - Andrew Wells (Herbert Smith Freehills) 
 
2.00-2.30pm      Infringement and the doctrine of equivalents: a review of the UK position following Actavis v Lilly and how this compares to elsewhere in Europe - Catherine Keetch (D Young)

2.30-3.00pm      Injunctions: recent developments - Rachel Mumby (Bristows)
 
3.00-3.30pm      Coffee break and networking
 
3.30-4.00pm      Employee compensation - Marianne Privett (AA Thornton)

4.00-4.30pm      EPO case law update - Joseph Lenthall (Haseltine Lake Kempner)

4.30-5.00pm      Artificial Intelligence:  Robot inventors and other IP questions - David Lang & Will Jensen (Marks & Clerk)
 
5.00-6.00pm      Drinks reception
