This 2-day course introduces the fundamental theory of GC along with operation and maintenance of an Agilent 7890 instrument.
We begin with an introduction to GC followed by a general instrument overview examining each of the 7890 GC components to give a sound understanding of their function and operation. We also look in detail at maintenance procedures and preventative actions before visiting the laboratory to identify system components and perform maintenance tasks on a live GC system. You will learn to dissemble an Agilent GC, replace or restore consumable parts, then reassemble and reinstall onto the GC system.
At the end of the course you will have gained knowledge and experience of operating an Agilent GC for sample analysis. You will also know how to maintain the instrument to preserve its performance.
This course is also applicable for older versions of Agilent GC instrumentation.
This course is suitable for all levels of knowledge; however for complete beginners it is advisable to attend the 1-day Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS first to get a good basic overview of gas chromatography.
Additional infoIncludes: lunch and refreshments; hardcopy of the training manual in colour; glossary on GC & GC-MS terms; any instrument parts & consumables used; certificate of attendance.
