This 1-day course is Day 2 of the Complete Hands-on GC & GC-MS course. Incorporating 50% theory and 50% practical in a lab environment within a small group size, you will gain both knowledge and hands-on experience of gas chromatography. There is also time to discuss any problems you are facing with GC in your work.
This course examines GC components from the maintenance side. Building on your existing knowledge of each component, we identify various parts and consumables and explain the relationships between them and the impact they have on the chromatography and the performance of the GC. You will then perform maintenance tasks on a live GC system, removing and/or dissembling GC components; replacing or cleaning consumables and parts; reassembling and reinstalling onto the GC system; and finally testing the system and checking system suitability.
At the end of the course you will know how to recognise when GC maintenance is required and maintain the instrument to preserve its performance, reducing down-time of the system.
This 1-day course can be combined with any of the other 1-day courses from the 5-day Hands-on Complete GC & GC-MS course.
This course is suitable for those who have knowledge of GC and beginners who have attended the 1-day Hands-on GC Theory and Methods course.
Additional infoIncludes: lunch and refreshments; hardcopy of the training manual in colour; any instrument parts & consumables used; certificate of attendance.
