This course covers all the essential knowledge to start developing methods and analysing samples using purge-and-trap.
This is module 6 of the Practical Essentials of Sample Preparation course. Beginning with the fundamental theory, we explain the principles of P&T and the different types of samples that can be analysed using this technique. You will learn how to create P&T methods and analyse samples and learn about the various parameters that can be optimised for the technique to improve method robustness and sensitivity. The course will also discuss frequent maintenance and common troubleshooting problems in P&T analysis.
At the end of the course you will have gained knowledge of using the technique with a GC or GC-MS to analyse samples, optimise method parameters and perform instrument set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of GC or GC-MS or have attended the Complete GC & GC-MS or the Hands-on GC & GC-MS courses.
