Introduction

This three day course is organised by the Institute of Process Research and Development (iPRD) at the University of Leeds. The course is designed to familiarise scientists and engineers with modern chemistry and its applications. Presented in association with the RSC Process Technology Group, and known formerly as the IChemE accredited short course in Chemistry for Chemical Engineers, the lectures, the workshops and the demonstrations provided will be very useful for scientific and technical personnel wishing to refresh their chemical knowledge and understanding. Topics of interest include Polymers, Dyes, Advances in Chemical & Drug Synthesis, Radioactivity, Electrochemistry & Corrosion, Particles & Colloids, Molecular Modelling, Green Chemistry, Analytics & Crystallisation and Carbon Capture & Storage. Extensive Notes covering the course contents will be provided to attendees.
