Introduction

In the past 20 years neutron reflectivity has had a major impact on the characterization
of surfaces and interfaces in the fields of Soft Matter and Biology. The development
of new instrumentation and sources at the ILL, ISIS and elsewhere heralds exciting new
opportunities to further expand the application of the technique in the broad areas of Soft Matter and Biology.
