Introduction

The International Workshop on Vaccine Adjuvants, organized since 2001 by the Cuban Society of Immunology and the Latin American Association of Immunology (ALAI), has become an extraordinary discussion forum for the latest progress in the development of vaccine adjuvants and related scientific aspects. The next edition of this event, Adjuvant 2010, will be devoted not only to the subject of vaccine adjuvants, but also to parasitic vaccines, and will be an excellent venue in order to exchange ideas about the latest progress in the development of adjuvants for vaccines, and parasite vaccines of importance for human and veterinary applications. Nano and microparticle technology in these fields will be also examined.
