Directors of Undergraduate Teaching Policy

27 May 2016 10:30-16:00, London, United Kingdom

This event is by invitation only Book now

Introduction
This meeting brings together directors of undergraduate chemistry teaching in UK universities to discuss policy issues that affect the sector and share examples of best practice.

The meeting will focus on the Teaching Excellence Framework but there will also be discussions about employability skills and transnational degree programmes.

Delegate input will be a really valuable part of the meeting. As well as lots of discussion, we are seeking specific input from delegates ahead of the meeting:

  • Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss chemistry-specific evaluation of teaching excellence at the meeting (see agenda for more detail). Please contact Zoe Martin (marinz@rsc.org) if you have any insights to share ahead of the meeting.

  • Have you identified anything that is chemistry-specific?
  • What metrics/data /information could your department start to collect to improve your approach to demonstrating teaching excellence?
c) TEF technical consultation
A discussion to inform the Royal Society of Chemistry response to the TEF technical consultation. Specific questions from the consultation may be tabled if available.
