This national competition is for 14 - 16 year old students studying chemistry. It you are a teacher please encourage your students to take part. If you are a student please ask your teacher to register your team.
The competition begins with a factual knowledge written test run by the RSC Local Section for Birmingham & the West Midlands to select the top 6 teams for a regional heat. This will take place at Birmingham University on Saturday January 20th 2018 to select a team to represent the Section in the UK final. The top 3 teams in the regional final are awarded book tokens.
The regional final stage will test factual knowledge as well as practical and problem-solving skills where teamwork will be an essential factor.

- One from Year 10
- One from Year 11
- A short test of factual chemical knowledge
- A practical chemical problem-solving team exercise.
