The 3rd International Conference on Proton Coupled Electron Transfer (PCET 2018) will be held from June 10-14, 2018 in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, a small town situated deep in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains about two hours northwest of Charlotte. The conference is jointly organized by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Yale University. The meeting will be held at the Chetola Resort, a luxurious and family-friendly venue with excellent accommodations and meeting facilities (www.chetola.com).
PCET2018 will bring together researchers from varied disciplinary and geographic backgrounds to discuss contemporary topics in proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET). Sessions will cover a wide range of topics, incorporating research from the many disciplines that are interested in PCET, including work from the enzymatic, catalytic, surface, and theoretic frontiers.
The schedule is currently being developed and will feature focused research talks from 30 invited speakers with 4 reserved spots for talented young scientists as well as poster presentations. PCET2018 is open to active researchers in the field, with accommodations and services available for participants travelling with family, making this an excellent setting for discussing the cutting-edge advances in the field as well as for inter-disciplinary and international networking and collaborating.
The main topics of the conference include:
PCET at Materials Interfaces
PCET in Biology
PCET in Energy Catalysis
Fundamentals and Model Systems
Excited-state PCET and Photochemistry
Organic Transformations
PCET of N2 Chemistry
PCET of Oxidation Chemistry
