This symposium is the 5th meeting organized jointly between the Medicinal Chemistry Section of the
Swedish Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Biological and Medicinal Chemistry Sector of the
Royal Society of Chemistry, to showcase the very best medicinal chemistry in a stimulating environment. It is also designed to provide plenty of opportunities to meet other delegates, renew friendships and foster new contacts.
Programme outline: the following sessions are planned for:
I Kinases
II Challenges and future directions
in medicinal chemistry
III Breakthroughs in ADME and chemical
biology – impact on drug hunting
IV Enzyme inhibitors
V Receptors
The meeting will consist of 18 lectures, including:
Kevin Shokat, UCSF, USA, Tony Wood, Pfizer, UK,
Martin Drysdale, The Beatson Institute, UK and
Peter Sjö, AstraZeneca R&D, Sweden.
There will be an evening poster session and we
welcome abstracts for consideration;
