The objective of this interdisciplinary symposium is to gather experts with different backgrounds to discuss all aspects of trace elements in relation to food, with special emphasis on biological effects of elements. Topics of particular interest include:
1) Sources and transfer of trace elements into the food and feed, 2) Analytical advances in trace elements in food including speciation, 3) Trace elements in nutrition and human health and 4)Toxicology and risk assessment including nanoparticles
