Introduction
The Radiochemistry Group are pleased to announce that the biennial New Researchers Meeting will be back to a face-to-face format for 2023. The meeting is planned to take place on the 20th-21st July in Sheffield.
New Researchers in academia and industry are invited to present their current research work in any area of radiochemistry in oral format at the meeting, either in a flash talk (3-minute talk plus 2 minutes for questions) or a full presentation (15-minute presentation plus 5 minutes for questions). Current research topics include, but are not limited to:
Abstract submission
To submit your 300-word (maximum) abstract, please follow the 'oral abstract submission' link in the 'Useful Links' section at the top of this page. An abstract template is available, and this can be uploaded into the submission system. Please indicate whether your abstract is for a flash talk or full presentation within your abstract submission.
The deadline for abstracts submission is 5 pm on 30 June 2023.

Useful advice for presenters
Preparing for your presentation:
- Make it relevant! Make your audience care about your research by showing how it makes an impact.
- Perfect the timing of your talk. Practice, practice, practice!
- Project your voice and command the space.
How to prepare your flash talk:
- A single, static PowerPoint slide is permitted. No slide transitions, animations or movement are allowed. The single slide upload must be a PDF file at highest resolution possible.
- The slide will be presented from the beginning of the talk
- No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video) or props are allowed
- The aspect ratio (ratio of width to height) should ideally be set to '16:9'
- Fonts should be sans-serif (e.g., Arial, Helvetica, etc.) with a minimum font size that should not be smaller than
- 18pt for in-person presentation with screen projection in the conference room.
- Make appropriate use of white space to avoid crowding and unnecessary detail.
