About the Organiser: The Applied Catalysis Group (ACG)
The Applied Catalysis Group is a specialist Interest Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), dedicated to promoting the advancement and application of heterogeneous, homogeneous, and enzymatic catalysis across sectors that benefit society—including energy, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, consumer products, and environmental protection.
Our Mission
- Share best practices in applied catalysis across academic and industrial settings.
- Foster collaboration between industry and academia through events, training, and networking.
- Champion sustainable chemistry, circular economy solutions, and green technology through catalysis.
Member Benefits
- Present your research at ACG and partner events.
- Stay updated on cutting-edge developments in applied catalysis.
- Access unique networking and career opportunities.
- Apply for travel bursaries (up to £500) and receive discounted rates for events.
Catalysis Award
The Applied Catalysis Award, run biennially, recognises outstanding innovation and impact in applied catalysis. It celebrates research that is original, sustainable, and demonstrably applied. Nominations are open to global candidates, regardless of RSC membership.
