What’s in scope?
This journal portfolio is for anyone who is dedicated to finding the tools to protect and preserve our planet. Environmental science spans many disciplines – whatever your focus, there is a place for you here. We are interested in work at the interface of disciplines, going beyond chemistry to make crucial discoveries.
Two of these titles publish gold open access content exclusively, but the option to publish open access is available across our whole portfolio.

What article types do we publish?
Our objective is to help advance environmental sustainability by publishing impactful research papers and short communications. We are interested in full papers that are original, insightful and high quality. And we are looking for communications reporting preliminary research findings that are novel and of immediate interest to the broader scientific community.
We also welcome reviews and perspectives, so if you have one in mind, please complete our short synopsis form.
What do our authors say?
The submission, review process, and proofing were managed very well and in a reasonable amount of time but one that did not seem to compromise quality. The editors were prompt, courteous, and professional, making the publication process smooth and enriching.
