Please note the following:
- For a given journal, COUNTER statistics are reported for content published from 1997
- For our journals archive, COUNTER statistics are reported for all content published between 1841 and 1996 and are not broken down by individual journal titles
- Although COUNTER-compliant TR_J2 – Journal Access Denied and DR_D2 Database Access Denied are 'required' in the COUNTER Code of Practice, we are unable to produce data for these reports because the platform does not deny access in a way that COUNTER allows to be recorded as a denial. These reports will always show zero denials

The tutorial provides a clear step by step guide to using Microsoft Excel with COUNTER Release reports. It explains how to filter reports, create a Pivot Table and how to total the usage metrics.
