The Joint Pharmaceutical Analysis Group (JPAG) is one of the RSC's many Interest Groups and is joint with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. The Interest Groups are member driven groups which exist to benefit RSC members, and the wider chemical science community, in line with the RSC's strategy and charter.
Mission Statement
"encourage, assist and extend the knowledge and study of pharmaceutical analysis and quality control by the holding of scientific meetings, the promotion of lectures, practical demonstrations and discussions, or by any means consistent with the objectives of the sponsoring bodies and the rules of the Group"
JPAG has close contact with industry, academia, NHS and regulatory and enforcement sectors, which enables it to be the primary focus in the UK for the presentation and discussion of matters of importance to everyone with an interest in any aspect of pharmaceutical analysis.
Activities
- The Group organises at least five meetings a year addressing all aspects of pharmaceutical analysis and many related facets of medicines control and registration.
- JPAG also produces a regular newsletter which is circulated by email.
