The Solid Surfaces Group is one of the Royal Society of Chemistry's many interest groups. The interest groups are member driven and exist to benefit RSC members, and the wider chemical science community, in line with our strategy and charter.
Aims
To promote the understanding of interfacial phenomena, by means of both fundamental and applied research into the properties and characteristics of solid surfaces, and acts as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas within the surface science community.
Scope
Areas of interest of group members include topics such as:
- Semiconductor surfaces
- Nanotechnology and thin films
- Heterogeneous catalysis
- Surface analytical techniques
- Theory of surfaces
- Adsorption
- Corrosion
- Tribology
- Biosurfaces
How to Join
RSC members can join the Solid Surfaces Group by updating their details in the “My communities and subscriptions” tab of the online RSC membership area. Please click here to login and add to your list of Interest Groups.
