Collaboration in Kerala

The Kerala state education department has entered into a partnership with us to roll out our teacher training program, the Yusuf Hamied Inspirational Chemistry Programme, to train state school science teachers.

The partnership allows us to deliver training programmes at government schools across Kerala as well as hold chemistry camps. Ms M S Jaya, Directorate of Public Instruction, Kerala, who was present on the occasion, also released teacher training books for the programme.

Over 120 teachers and other dignitaries from the Kerala state education department attended the meeting.

In 2014, with the support of the prominent Indian business leader, scientist and philanthropist, Dr Yusuf Hamied, we launched the Yusuf Hamied Inspirational Chemistry Programme, to enhance the skills and knowledge of Indian chemistry teachers as well as inspire school students to study chemistry at university. 

So far we have already trained over 5000 teachers from over 1100 schools across nine different states in India.
