Prizes and awards 2019
We are proud to announce the 2019 winners of our prizes and awards, celebrating inspiration, innovation, and collaboration across the chemical sciences community.
Our annual prizes and awards recognise achievements by individuals, teams and organisations in advancing the chemical sciences and supporting chemical scientists.
We recognise not only academic achievement, but contributions to the chemical sciences industry and to education, while our volunteer recognition awards recognise those who give their time to support the work of the Royal Society of Chemistry – on our committees and through outreach and organising events.
Specific awards also recognise apprentices, those working in technical roles, and those who have formed successful collaborations.
Our chief executive Robert Parker says: “Over the years, our lives have been significantly improved by the chemical sciences, from medicines and food to the environment itself. We are proud of the contribution the chemical sciences make to our global community, which is why it is right for us to recognise important innovations and expertise such as these.
“Our Prizes and Awards recognise people from a range of different specialisms, backgrounds and locations. Every winner is an inspiration to the chemistry community and will play an incredibly important role in enriching people’s lives for generations to come.”
Online article collection
In celebration of our 2019 prizes and awards, we have collected together some of the exciting research recently published by the winners in our journals.
The collection is free to access for a limited period.
