Alán Aspuru-Guzik talks about the launch of Digital Discovery
The Royal Society of Chemistry has launched Digital Discovery, a new Open Access journal that will open for submissions in mid-August 2021.
In this video, Edwin Silvester (Royal Society of Chemistry Integrated media Manager) and Anna Rulka (Royal Society of Chemistry Executive Editor of Digital Discovery) talk to Alán Aspuru-Guzik, who will be the journal's Editor-in-Chief. Alán is a professor of Chemistry and Computer Science at the University of Toronto and is also the Canada 150 Research Chair in Theoretical Chemistry and a Canada CIFAR AI Chair at the Vector Institute.
Digital Discovery, a gold open access journal, will be the first of its kind, meeting the trend towards greater automation and data-driven scientific techniques head-on.
If you have a paper that, as my friend and collaborator Marty Burke says, “lives at the edge of your imagination” in chemical sciences, consider Digital Discovery as a friendly homeAlán Aspuru-Guzik
