President Gill Reid represents RSC in China
Our president, Professor Gill Reid, visited China this week, during which time she joined members of our China team in representing the Royal Society of Chemistry at the 34th Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) Congress.
Meeting with CCS Leadership
Prof Reid took part in a formal meeting with Prof Li-jun Wan, President of CCS, alongside staff from both organisations. Both leaders talked about the collaborations between two organisations including the CCS-RSC Young Chemist Award, our joint Frontiers journal portfolio, and ChemRvix.
ChemComm Symposium and RSC President’s Reception
One of our most prestigious journals, Chemical Communications, turns 60 this year. As part of the celebrations around the world this year, Prof Gill Reid attended a special ChemComm 60th anniversary symposium as an invited speaker.
As part of the CCS Congress we organised an RSC President’s Reception, which was attended by senior RSC members, RSC Prize winners, editorial board members, and student representatives.
