Cardiff Science Festival
Nearly 1300 members of public were inspired by chemistry when 24 Royal Society of Chemistry members supported the relaunch of Cardiff Science Festival this weekend.
By Dayna Mason, Education Coordinator
Over the four day festival we took part in a variety of events; we used chromatography and turmeric to link chemistry and art at the National Museum of Wales, we spoke to shoppers about smells and glow sticks whilst busking on Queen Street, we demonstrated chemistry games at the Science of Board Games, and helped visitors explore plastic densities at a public lecture on pollution. A big thank you to all of our volunteers – we couldn’t have done it without you.
