During #RSCPoster 2025 we ran two webinars, chaired by our external organisers Tanja Junkers and Tim Noel, on FAIR Data and Collaboration vs competition. Please use the links below if you missed them or simply want to watch them back.
FAIR Data in Chemistry: Why and How?
Chaired by Tanja Junkers (Monash University) with Leah McEwen (Cornell University) and Jeremy Frey (Southampton University).
From 4 March 2025
Collaboration vs competition in academia and industry
Chaired by Tim Noel (University of Amsterdam) with Marion Emmert (Merck) and Gabriele Laudadio (University of Graz)
From 4 March 2025
#RSCPoster Conference webinars
The #RSCPoster Conference brings together chemists from across the globe and at every career stage to network with their peers, share their research and engage in scientific debate. However, we want to discuss beyond research and support dialogue on topics affecting chemists at every career stage.
Previous years have seen insightful webinars on topics such as imposter syndrome in academia, social media in science careers and obtaining grants. The 2024 webinars hosted by external organisers Tanja Junkers and Tim Noel covered the roles of pre-prints in chemical science and AI in publishing, respectively. You can catch up on these below.
The role of preprints in chemical science: ChemRxiv and journal publishing
Chaired by Tanja Junkers with Benjamin Mudrack (ACS/ChemRxiv), Robert Luxenhofer (University of Helsinki) and May Copsey (Royal Society of Chemistry)
AI in Publishing: Dos and Don’ts
Chaired by Tim Noel with Nessa Carson (AstraZeneca), Anna Pendlebury (Royal Society of Chemistry)
