The SAC Gold Medal was awarded biennially to someone who had made outstanding contributions to analytical science, principally through research, but also noting education, consultancy and service to the profession.
In 2008, this award merged with the Robert Boyle Medal to form the Robert Boyle Prize for Analytical Science.
