The Sustainable Energy Award was for the contributions of chemical sciences to sustainable energy. This included development or understanding of materials and processes and the improvement of existing technologies through the application of the chemical sciences.
This award was discontinued in 2020, as part of a series of changes introduced following an independent review of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s recognition programmes.
