In the Experimental section, the heading "Synthesis of [Ru(CN^tBu)₄(Cl)₂] (1b)" should read "Synthesis of [Ru(CNAr)₄(Cl)₂] (1b)".

In Table 6, the formula for compound 2b·H₂O was incorrectly given as "C₃₆H₃₆Cl₂N₄Ru·H₂O". The correct formula is "C₃₆H₃₆Br₂N₄Ru·H₂O".

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
