A citation to Reference 11 has been inadvertently omitted from the following sentence in the Introduction, which below contains the correct citation:

Similarly water dissociation on certain oxide surfaces can lead to rapid proton transfer and may have implications for proton conducting electrolytes.11,12

Reference 50 refers to the incorrect journal. The correct reference is as follows:
