A citation to Reference 11 has been inadvertently omitted from the following sentence in the Introduction, which below contains the correct citation:

Similarly water dissociation on certain oxide surfaces can lead to rapid proton transfer and may have implications for proton conducting electrolytes.^11,12

Reference 50 refers to the incorrect journal. The correct reference is as follows:
