On the 3rd page of the article, first paragraph of the Experimental section, the thickness of the polydimethylsiloxane layer should be amended from 0.4 mm to 0.8 mm so that the sentence reads "We employed a mechanically controlled micropipette to generate arrays of monodisperse aqueous NaCl sessile microdroplets (1.7 M) on the surface of a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-coated glass slide immersed in a 0.8 mm thick layer of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) oil (10 cSt)".
