In the experimental procedure for the synthesis of 4'-(4'''-cyanophenyl)-1,2':6',1''-bispyrazolylpyridine (L) (page 3532) the catalyst was omitted. The text should read:

0.231 g (0.2 mmol) of Pd(PPh₃)₄ was taken together with 4-iodo-2,6-di-pyrazol-1-yl-pyridine (0.69 g, 2.1 mmol) and 4-cyanophenylboronic acid (0.31 g, 2.1 mmol).

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
