After the publication of our article, it was brought to our attention that complex 1 in the paper had previously been prepared, as described in the 2010 publication, P. Chellan, N. Shunmoogam-Gouden, D. T. Hendricks, J. Gut, P. J. Rosenthal, C. Lategan, P. J. Smith, K. Chibale and G. S. Smith, Eur. J. Inorg. Chem., 2010, 3520-3528 (compound 7). The authors apologise for this oversight.
