After the publication of our paper, we noticed that the structure of the zinc borate compound associated with the formula 4ZnO•B2O3•H2O previously documented in several patents (D. M. Schubert, US Pat. Nos. 5342553, 5472644 and Chinese Pat. Nos. 92113403.7 and ZL97102409x, and other international patents, where brief powder X-ray diffraction data were presented) might be identical to that of the zinc borate we described in our paper.
