On page 770 in the in the introduction the sensitivity and specificity values from Lui et al. were misquoted.

The correct sensitivity and specificity values should be:

"Lui et al. have diagnosed both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer versus benign lesions with a sensitivity and a specificity of 95% and 52% on 518 lesions using dispersive Raman spectroscopy."

This error does not affect the results or discussion presented in this work.
