The author would like to correct the following errors in Table 1 and the Appendix.

There are errors in Table 1 regarding entry #7. The correct information is given below:

7
Authors: Peter Atkins and Julio de Paula
Title: Physical Chemistry
Edition: 9th
Year: 2010
Publisher: Oxford University Press

There is an error in the footnote reference for entry 11 of Table 1. Footnote c should apply to this entry, as follows:

11
Authors: Lionel M. Raff
Title: Principles of Physical Chemistryc
Edition: 1st
Year: 2001
Publisher: Prentice Hall

c Book # 11 starts with a chapter on the properties of gases.

There is an error in the footnote reference for entry 17 of Table 1. Footnote d applies to this entry, as follows:

17
Authors: Donald A. McQuarrie, John D. Simon
Title: Physical Chemistry – A molecular approachd
Edition: 1st
Year: 1997
Publisher: University Science Books

d Book #17 does not contain electrochemistry.

In the Appendix, the description of book #7 is corrected as follows:

Book #7 by Atkins and de Paula has employed, in all editions, a standard layout of the text, dividing it into three parts: (1) equilibrium, (2) structure, (3) change. The book also includes coverage of molecular interactions, macromolecules and self-assembly, and solids after statistical thermodynamics. There are chapters on equilibrium electrochemistry and on dynamic electrochemistry in parts (1) and (3) respectively.

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
