The units of K_p can be worked out as follows:

1. Write down all the units of the products. Remember that if a partial pressure is squared, the units are squared as well.
2. Write down all the units of the reactants underneath those of the products.
3. Cancel units that appear in both the top and bottom of the fraction.
4. Write down the units that remain.
5. Bring all the units to the top. We need to appreciate that 1/x² is the same as x^–2.
